On 27th September we opened our doors and welcomed clients and their families and surrounding businesses to come and join in with our coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
We proud to say we made £150 to help support people with cancer live life to the full.
When you visit the Doctors, you may find one of our adverts on the back your appointment card.
On the 12th June, Care Services Thirsk were invited to watch a production of a unique murder mystery written and performed by Rob Gee.
It is a classic tale of a whodunnit murder mystery but with a slight twist as it is set on a dementia ward.
‘Forget me not – The Alzheimer’s Whodunnit’ was written and played by Rob Gee who has worked for 12 years as a registered nurse in psychiatric units in England and Scotland.
Care Services Thirsk took 5 members of staff and some of the clients family joined us. After the show some of the feedback comments were:
- Really opened my eyes up.
- It so easy just to assume without looking at the bigger picture.
- Quite glad the approach to Alzheimer’s has improved but there is still a long way to go.
Care Services Thirsk would like to welcome Jenna, Lianne, Pauline and Jo to the team.
Everyone has settled in well over the last few weeks and are making excellent progress.
We would like to wish them a long and happy career with us.
We are delighted to announce the recent appointment of Michaela Benson. Michaela has over 10 years care experience and has brought a host of knowledge and understanding in care skills with her. Michaela will be supervising 17 staff staff and will be supporting them with there training and care skills. We would like to wish her a long and happy career with us.
